EVO Install Day with Walter Biscardi — a Twitter Story

We’re excited to have legendary filmmaker, TV producer, and editor, Walter Biscardi using EVO! Here’s a short story Twitter-style, with some shots of install day…

You should also check out Walter’s great write-up about their new EVO shared storage system’s setup and how they’re using EVO to have multiple editors working together on the same Premiere Pro project at the same time.

Up and running…

Woo Hoo!

Studio Network Solutions EVO combines raw power needed for a shared storage solution with a very elegant and easy to use administration interface and basic Media Asset Management. It was the Asset Management side of things that really made us take notice of the SNS solution back in July of 2014.

As we prepare to launch a new video network in 4k UHD, asset management has been a major topic of discussion. We need a shared storage solution that can handle UHD Post and we really needed a simple MAM to help us manage the wealth of data that we’ll be generating over the next few years. SNS has us covered on all bases and we’re able to continue to use our already existing 10Gig and GigE infrastructure.

EVO is a beautiful blend of shared storage simplicity and performance, with just the right options to make it perfect for your collaborative workgroups. It’s now available in 16 bay, 8 bay, and 4 bay configurations.
